ACUARELAS

Siempre me gustó dibujar. A partir de mi colaboración con los profesores Aranguren y Gallegos en el Aula Fin de Carrera de la ETSAM comencé a realizar cada año un viaje de estudios con los alumnos. Fuimos a Brasil, Japón, Grecia y Turquía, Marruecos, Francia, Inglaterra, Portugal y otros lugares. En estos viajes comencé a dibujar del natural, al modo de los antiguos viajeros, por puro placer y también para dar ejemplo a los alumnos cada vez más metidos en el mundo digital. A partir de ahí empecé a incorporar color y como consecuencia de ello surgieron las acuarelas.

Habitualmente las hago en mis viajes particulares y me gusta tomar como modelos, aparte de la  arquitectura, los paisajes -con agua-y los animales. Intento captar el momento irrepetible del estado de la luz y me gustan las acuarelas sueltas, donde el agua cobra protagonismo y tiene vida propia.

WATERCOLOURS

​I have always loved drawing. Through my collaboration with Professors Aranguren and Gallegos in the Aula Fin de Carrera at ETSAM, I began taking a study trip with students every year. We travelled to Brazil, Japan, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, France, England, Portugal, and other places. During these trips, I started drawing from life, in the manner of the old travellers, purely for pleasure and also to set an example for students who were increasingly immersed in the digital world. From there, I began incorporating colour, and as a result, watercolours emerged.

I usually paint them during my personal travels, and apart from architecture, I enjoy using landscapes—with water—and animals as subjects. I try to capture the unique and fleeting state of light, and I like loose watercolours, where water takes centre stage and comes to life on its own.
