Tengo la oportunidad de ser el arquitecto conservador de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, edificio construido en 1936 en la Ciudad Universitaria, que fue muy afectado por la guerra civil. Todos los que trabajamos o estudiamos en él, adoramos este edificio, construido con buenos materiales, en un discreto e intemporal estilo neoclásico. Realizo varias actuaciones sobre el mismo, tales como la reforma del Departamento de Proyectos y de Matemáticas,  adecuación acústica general de las aulas, construcción de aseos, organización del aparcamiento de alumnos, adecuación a normativa de incendios, proyecto de escalera de evacuación, o el proyecto de las salas de Subdirecciones. Destacan las obras de adecuación del espacio conocido como la “nevera” para Aula de Fin de Carrera y Gabinete de Investigación en las que disponemos un enorme espacio diáfano.

I have the honour of being the curator architect to the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM). The building was erected in 1936 on the university campus, an área that suffered severe bombing during the Spanish Civil War. All of us who work and study here love this building, which was built with good materials in a discreet and timeless neoclassic style. I am responsible for several jobs here, including the renovation of the Departments of Mathematics and Projects; acoustic improvement of the classrooms; new sanitary facilities; new students parking lot; adaptation to fire regulation requirements and fire escape stairs; the project for the new senior staff offices; and more notably, the transformation of what used to be known as “The Fridge” into a End of Career classrom and research cabinet.
