A lo largo de casi una década trabajo, junto al arquitecto Enrique Azpilicueta, en muy diversas actuaciones en las instalaciones del fabricante de productos lácteos “Yoplait”. Estas actuaciones incluyen una puesta al día completa de las naves de fabricación, con importantes ampliaciones, así como la recuperación y refuerzo de las naves existentes. Sucesivamente trabajamos en las diversas ampliaciones, implantación de maquinaria, construcción e instalación de un almacén robotizado, construcción de depósitos, urbanización del conjunto, etcétera.
La ampliación principal se construye con una estructura prefabricada de hormigón y cerramientos metálicos, tipo “sandwich”. Las cubiertas son industriales, tipo “deck”. La superficie construida es de unos 8.000 m2. Realizamos posteriormente una segunda ampliación con estructuras metálicas y cerramientos de paneles metálicos prefabricados.
Esta obra nos permite emplear toda una gama de soluciones constructivas del ámbito industrial, así como familiarizarnos con la gestión y dirección de una obra de gran tamaño y complejidad. El ácido lácteo corroe todos los materiales, incluyendo el acero o el hormigón, con lo que las redes de saneamiento deben cuidarse al máximo, incluyendo la incorporación de la existente. Los muelles de carga, con sus “abrigos” para impedir romper el congelado de los productos, el almacén de “palets” robotizado, las bancadas para maquinaria, los problemas de acústica.. , todo ello con la fábrica y producción en funcionamiento ocupan buena parte de nuestro tiempo durante estos años.
For a period of over ten years, I collaborated with architect Enrique Azpilicueta, conducting a series of projects in the dairy product plant Yoplait. These works included a complete renovation of the industrial buildings, with a significant increase of the indoor surface, as well as the refurbishing and reinforcement of the already existing one. During this time, we worked on various extensions of the plant surface, implantation of machinery, construction and installation of an automated storage room, construction of warehouses, urbanization of the compound, and more.
The main extension of the building was constructed with a precast structure of reinforced concrete and metallic “sandwich" type external walls.
The roofs are industrial, deck-type. The total built surface covers approximately 8.000 m2.
The second extension of the building featured a metallic structure and metallic precast panels for the external walls. This technique allowed us to implement a whole range of constructive solutions in the working areas, but also to get an inkling of the management and direction process involved in a factory of such size and complexity. The acidic lacteal acid corrodes all materials, including steel or concrete, so the sewerage networks had to be taken care of at maximum level, including the existing one. The loading docks, with their protective "coats" to prevent the defrosting of the products, the automated store-room for the "palets", the installation of the new machinery, or the acoustic problems, had to be dealt with whilst the factory was functioning.
