El proyecto plantea la actuación sobre todo el entorno del palacio y la hipotética reconstrucción de los  jardines de Carlos V. Estudiamos las referencias literarias existentes, que nos hablaban de los paseos del emperador entre los naranjos o del tiempo que dedicaba al cuidado de las flores de su jardín flamenco.

Junto con el paisajista Fernando Valero proyectamos tanto los jardines como el arreglo de los claustros y otros elementos. Diseñamos pérgolas, galerías cubiertas e incluso topiarios recortados, a partir de las imágenes y pinturas de la época.

The project is to rehabilitate the palace environment where Emperor Charles V retired and the hypothetical reconstruction of the Emperor’s gardens. We studied the existing literary references, which describe the emperor’s long promenades under the orange trees and details of how much he spent looking after the flowers in his Flemish garden. In collaboration with landscape artist Fernando Valero, and based on pictures and images of the time, we restored the cloister, projected the gardens, designed pergolas and covered galleries, and even cut out topiaries.​
