Por encargo del estudio de arquitectura DE LA-HOZ y junto a la abogada urbanista Pepa Torres, elaboramos este Plan Especial sobre la manzana comprendida entre las calles Alcalá y la Plaza de Canalejas cercana a la Puerta del Sol de Madrid. Se trata de un importante conjunto de edificios, antiguas sedes de varios bancos y otras entidades, entre las que destaca la de Banesto, antes edificio de La Equitativa. Como en otros casos nuestro trabajo consiste en el levantamiento exhaustivo de planos, documentación e investigación histórica. Realizamos también reportajes fotográficos y estudios varios para definir los elementos arquitectónicos del conjunto, así como cotas y alturas.

Commissioned by the architectural firm, DE LA-HOZ and together with Town Planner Attorney Pepa Torres, we elaborated this Special Plan for the block enclosed by the streets of Alcala and Plaza de Canalejas, near Madrid´s Puerta del Sol. It is an important compound of buildings, comprising the headquarters of several major banks and insurance companies, most significantly that of Banesto, which used to be “La Equitativa” insurance company headquarters in former years. As in other cases, our work consisted in the exhaustive drawing of plans, documentation, and historical research. The work was completed with photographic reports and extensive studies for the definition of the architectural elements of the ensemble, as well as measures and heights.
